Logo (2009-Late 2010s)

Visuals: On a light grey-blue gradient background with some clouds in the sky, there is a man standing with a DVD in his hand. He says "By purchasing this DVD, you're supporting your local film and television industry!" While he is saying this, the DVD shines. Then, big, yellow, shiny letters, saying:

THANK
YOU

fall from the sky. It turns the background reddish-orange. The man then holds up the disc and says "Thank you!"

Variant: Depending on the language that is selected on the DVD/Blu-Ray language option menu, subtitles for the dialogue will appear for the selected language.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The man's dialogue (voiced by presumably Keith Wickham), with bird sounds in the background. When he gets to his second line, a whistling sound plays. When the words land, a thud sound (accompanied by the sound of a crowd cheering) plays, and then a dreamy synth with twinkling noises.

Audio Variants:

  • Sometimes, the man says "The UK's film and television industry".
  • Rarely, he would just say "The UK's film industry" or "Your local film industry".
  • On Blu-ray releases, he would say "By purchasing this Blu-ray disc".
  • Occasionally, it is low-pitched.

Availability: Seen on releases from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, 20th Century Studios Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, and HIT Entertainment in the UK and Australia.

  • Two Universal releases which have this logo are Despicable Me and the Blu-ray of Jurassic Park.
  • Three Sony releases are Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, 22 Jump Street and Pixels.
  • The only known appearance of the logo outside of the UK and Australia is on the Italian DVD of Panda! Go, Panda!.
