Background

Sparx Animation, commonly stylized as "SPARX*", is a French-Vietnamese 3D art, VFX and animation studio, with around 400 artists, animators and technical experts. It was briefly renamed to Sparkling* in 2001. The French offices closed in 2008, while the American and Vietnamese offices closed in 2010. Since 2011, Sparx* has been a member of Virtuos Group - one of the world's largest game developers. It was reopened in Ho Chi Minh City in 2011.

1st Logo (October 4, 1998-June 14, 2002)

Visuals: The word "SPARX*" in a white outline is on a black background. Below is "Animation & digital visual effects". The logo shares the screen with either of the Metal Hurlant Productions logos.

Technique: None.

Audio: The closing theme of the show. On some Canadian YouTube prints of Rolie Polie Olie (which feature blank closing credits and a blank title screen), the logo is silent.

Availability: Seen only on the first five seasons of Rolie Polie Olie.

2nd Logo (August 13, 2002-April 28, 2004)

Visuals: The logo starts with an yellow background, but then it suddenly reveals itself to be a white star spinning away from the screen and onto the SPARX logo (which now reads "SPARKLING" instead of "SPARX"). As the star settles into its position, it forms a black outline around the text and disappears before popping up next to the "G".

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: Either the closing theme of the show or (on Rolie Polie Olie: The Great Defender of Fun) a sped-up remix of the RPO theme song that adds horns.

Availability: Seen on the sixth and final season of Rolie Polie Olie and briefly on second season of Numberjacks. Also seen on The Great Defender of Fun and The Baby Bot Chase.
