Background

This is Justin Lin's production company.

(September 22, 2014-)

Logo: On a black background, we see a red "O" spinning around, with curls coming from the top-left and the bottom-right, as it zooms out. Then the background fades to white, revealing "PERFECT" in black at the top, with "STORM" underneath in the same color as it continues to zoom out until it is in its position. Once remaining on-screen for a few seconds, the text fades out, leaving the red "O" behind, and then it fully fades out to black.

Variants:

  • On TV shows, it is still, the "O" is black, and the word "PERFECT" is in red.
  • It sometimes shares the screen with other logos.
  • Another animated version exists which first appeared on F9, where a black hole-like thing is seen first, which later reveals to be the "O" in "STORM" on a black background.

Technique: The "O" spinning and zooming out, the background fading to white, the name appearing and fading out, and it ends with a full fade out after only the red "O" is on-screen more for a few seconds. The second animated version has the logo forming through a black hole-like thing. On TV shows, it is still.

Music/Sounds: Mostly none, but sometimes the closing theme plays over it on TV shows.

Availability: The first animated version was only seen on the Chinese/Hong Kong film Hollywood Adventures. The TV show version is more common, appearing on Scorpion, the revivals of S.W.A.T. and Magnum P.I., and Warrior. The second animated version was first seen on F9.
