Background

Pearl Street Films is an film and television production company, founded in 2012 by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. It is based at the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, California. In October of the same year, Jennifer Todd was named the president of the company. In March 2018, the company announced that it would be adopting inclusion riders for all future projects. The company didn't use a logo until 2015, and an on-screen version wasn't introduced until the following year. It was dissolved in November 2022 as Affleck and Damon focused on founding their independent production company called Artists Equity.

(August 2015-)

Logo: On a black background, some big splotches appear on the screen, revealing a suburban house on it with a gray tint. The view pulls back as more splotches appear with a silhouette of some people briefly shown. It pulls back further to reveal two white signs respectively, both reading "PEARL STREET" and "FILMS" as it zooms away and places itself on a green spotlight background for a few seconds, before fading out.

Variants:

  • A shortened version exists at the end of Jason Bourne, where it starts from the sign zooming out and revealing from the darkness.
  • On TV series, the logo is already formed with the sign just simply zooming away.
  • On The Leisure Class, the print logo is used and shares the screen with the Adaptive, Miramax and Daily Noted, Inc. logos.
  • On Incorporated, the logo is next to the Algorithm Entertainment logo.
  • On The Last Duel, the logo is dimmed down like the 20th Century Studios logo to match the movie.

Technique: The zooming out and revealing of the logo.

Music/Sounds: Mostly none, but the closing theme plays over it on TV shows.

Availability: Uncommon. First appeared on The Leisure Class. It was later seen at the end of Jason Bourne and also on TV series such as Incorporated and City on a Hill. The full version has so far appeared on The Last Duel.
