Background

Malibu Games was a short-lived subsidiary of THQ, which published and developed games mainly for Game Boy and SNES.

Logo (1993-1995)

Visuals: There is a marble square box with a pack of curved lines, which resemble a wave. The name "MALIBU GAMES" is written below in two lines with "GAMES" slightly smaller and spaced out to fit the width of "MALIBU" in a brown stone-colored font. The shine moves at the wave.

Variants:

On Sports Illustrated Championship Football & Baseball, the background is covered with repeating title tiles.
On Family Dog for SNES, the copyright info takes the screen with the logo compressed to the top. It also has the background full blue.
Sometimes, the logo appears very dark.

Technique: Sprite-based animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on SeaQuest DSV, Time Trax, Total Carnage and other games.
