Background

Eden Games was formed in January 1998 as a split-off of Infogrames Multimedia's Lyon development studio. With the split, former parent Infogrames Entertainment SA acquired a stake in Eden, before fully acquiring the developer in May 2002.

1st Logo (December 7, 1998-1999)

Visuals: There is the Eden logo, consisting of a blue font with the last half of the logo missing on the bottom and a red triangle arrow on the "e". On the top is the white word "made in" and on the bottom is "studios" in a blue script font.

Technique: A still printed graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appears on V-Rally Edition '99 for the Nintendo 64.

2nd Logo (November 17, 1999-2000)

Visuals: There is the same Eden logo from before in-credit. However this time, the "studios" script is replaced with the same word in font on the bottom of the logo.

Variants:

On the PlayStation version (known as V-Rally 2: Championship Edition worldwide and Need for Speed: V-Rally 2 in North America), the logo appears inlined with a blue shadow behind it.
On the Dreamcast and PC versions (known as V-Rally 2: Expert Edition worldwide (PC is exclusive to Europe) and Test Drive: V-Rally in North America), the logo appears in a brown-gold color.

Technique: A still printed graphic.

Audio: The opening theme to the game.

Availability: Appears on V-Rally 2 for the PlayStation, Dreamcast and Windows.

3rd Logo (June 21, 2002-2003)

Visuals: There is the same Eden logo from before in an all-white color zoom out with a shadow effect.

Variant: On the Xbox version, the logo is reanimated. This time when it slams down, the shadow effect appears a millisecond later instead of appearing immediately when the logo slams down.

Technique: A still printed graphic.

Audio: The opening theme to the game.

Availability: Appears on V-Rally 3 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and PC (Europe only).

4th Logo (Kya: Dark Lineage variant, November 18, 2003)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a new Eden Games logo set on a red box with a thinner font, and a "e" logo on the top. In front of the logo are a Scrawny Wolfen and a Purple Woof, two enemies from the game. The Wolfen throws a bone for the Woof to catch, as it goes off screen to get it. It then returns and tackles the Wolfen to the ground and begins to chew its head.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The sounds of the Wolfen and the Woof.

Availability: Appears on Kya: Dark Lineage for the PlayStation 2.

5th Logo (Titeuf: Mega Compet variant, September 24, 2004)

Visuals: Over a white background, the logo starts with Mr. Dubidet, who is about to ride a bike. He struggles to get it going, but it eventually goes off as we see that he is pulling Titeuf, Nadia, Valerie, François and Hugo on shopping carts, which hop as the rucsac that was dropped becomes a speed hump. Hugo loses control of his handheld video game, which flies towards the screen, with the Eden Games logo from before in red (without a box).

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The Trolley sounds, Titeuf and his friends cheering, and it ends with Hugo saying "Tourjeurs nerveux du six pourquoi!"

Availability: Appears on Titeuf: Mega Compet for the PlayStation 2 and PC, which was only released in France. The remaster: Titeuf: Mega Party, doesn't feature this sequence.

6th Logo (2006-2007, 2011)

Visuals: There is various swirls create the "e" logo, which soon shines. It soon brightens as it zooms out to the top, as swirls form the "eden games" font.

Later Variant: On Test Drive Unlimited 2, there is the inside of a wheel as it speeds along on a car. The footage then fades to the Eden "e" from before and the logo continues on as above.

Availability:

Appears on Test Drive Unlimited for the Xbox 360 and PC. The PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable version, developed by Melbourne House, uses their logo instead.
The later variant appears on Test Drive Unlimited 2 for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.

7th Logo (Alone in the Dark variant, 2008)

Visuals: There is various streams of steam surround a black background. The steam then forms the "eden" typeface and then vanishes. Suddenly, there is an explosion of flames creates the "e" logo like a fireball. The footage then blurs out as we see the text "EDEN GAMES" and "An Atari Studio" (with "Atari" in it's logo typeface) on the bottom right.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Calm wind sounds, then an explosion and the flames.

Availability: Appears on Alone in the Dark for the Xbox 360 and PC, alongside its enhanced version Alone in the Dark: Inferno for the PlayStation 3. The PS2/Wii version, developed by Hydravision Entertainment, doesn't use this logo.

8th Logo (2017-)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a car rushing forward, as it creates skidmarks that form the "e" logo as seen before. The Eden Games typeface appears below, both in white.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Car driving sounds.

Availability: Appears on Gear.Club Unlimited and Gear.Club Unlimited 2 for the Nintendo Switch, alongside the Enhanced edition of the latter for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch.
