Background

Brightstar Films was a Canadian company founded by Anthony Kramreither.

(1980s-1991)

Nickname: "Brightstar Rollercoaster"

Logo: On a space background, we see a flashing star, causing "Brightstar" to appear. The word zooms to us with a roller coaster effect (a la the Telepictures "Rollercoaster" logo") with a shadow effect. The word then changes from red to teal with a "blinds" effect, then blue, then yellow, and finally a glowing light blue that suddenly appears. As this happens, "A Brightstar Film presentation" appears under it, and the flashing star appears again above the name. Before the logo fades to black, the word "Brightstar" suddenly turns yellow again.

FX/SFX: The star background and lighting effects.

Music/Sounds: A semi-ominous piano theme that sounds like the United Artists "Turning UA" logo. Sometimes it is silent.

Availability: Seen on the IVE VHS, Scream Factory Blu-Ray and Boulevard Entertainment UK DVD of The Brain as well as White Light and Mob Story.
