Background

Augenblick Studios is an independent animation company founded by Aaron Augenblick in 1999. The company has produced animated shows, mainly for adult audiences, such as Superjail! and Ugly Americans.

1st logo (1999-2004)

Logo: On a black background, we see a moonshine bottle, with wings and a label reading "XXX", on a circle with an animated sky backdrop. There are also the words, "AUGENBLICK STUDIOS", with 2 stars in between them, rotating around the circle. The bottle's wings seem to overlap the words and circle.

Variants: Sometimes, the word "REPLAY" appears below it.

Technique: Flash animation.

Music/Sounds: None or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Unknown

2nd logo (2004-2006)

Logo: We see the same bottle from before, only this time, it's colored black and white. Above it are the words "AUGENBLICK STUDIOS" in a cartoony font.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Only seen on Shorties: Watchin' Shorties.

3rd logo (April 28, 2004-)

Logo: It is a remake of the first logo. On a black background, we see the same bottle from the previous 2 logos, only this time, it's inside of a different circle with the words also inside the circle. Also, the bottle's wings no longer overlap the words or the circle. The circle rotates.

Variants:

  • A still variant exists.
  • Sometimes, the logo zooms in.
  • Starting in 2017, the logo is updated. The bottle's label is a bit bolder, the circle is completely white and the words are black and in a different font.
  • To commemorate its 20th anniversary, the logo appears beside the "2", acting as the "0", with a line below it.

Technique: The circle rotating.

Music/Sounds: A loud, 50's like "Ta-Da!" sounder. Sometimes, it's silent or uses the show's respective theme.

Availability: Common. Currently seen on Teenage Euthanasia on Adult Swim. It was also seen on Wonder Showzen on MTV2, Ugly Americans on Comedy Central, The Jellies and Superjail!.
