Background

Augenblick Studios is an independent animation company founded by Aaron Augenblick in 1999. The company has produced animated shows such as Superjail! and Ugly Americans.

(April 28, 2004-)

Logo: Up against a black background, we see a black circle with the words "AUGENBLICK STUDIOS" (inside is a moonshine bottle with wings and a label, reading "XXX"). The circle rotates.

Variants:

  • There was an early variant where the circle (albeit a little different) had an animated sky backdrop inside, the bottle was in color, and the text was in a different font and placed outside the circle. Also, the bottle's wings seem to overlap the circle, covering parts of the text too.
  • A still variant exists.
  • Sometimes, the logo zooms in.
  • Starting in 2015, the logo is updated. The bottle's label is a bit bolder, the circle is completely white and the words are black and in a different font.

Technique: The bottle.

Music/Sounds: A loud, 50's like "Ta-Da!" sounder. On Ugly Americans, the end theme plays.

Availability: Common. Currently seen on Teenage Euthanasia on Adult Swim. The version with the end theme can be found on Ugly Americans on Comedy Central. It was also seen on Wonder Showzen on MTV2, The Jellies and Superjail!.
