Background

Warner Premiere was the direct-to-DVD production/distribution arm of Warner Home Video, founded in late 2006. Warner Premiere only released direct-to-video movies on DVD. Its first release was The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning (2007), a prequel to The Dukes of Hazzard (2005). Its logo is the initials "WP" all in the font similar to the WB shield. On August 13, 2012, Warner Bros. shut down Warner Premiere and it was folded into three operations: Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, Warner Bros. Animation, and Warner Home Video. The three names are responsible for any direct-to-DVD releases with Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, and DC Universe.

1st Logo (March 4, 2007)

Visuals: On a black background is a blue "WP" (formed from the "W" in the Warner Bros. logo and an arc on the right side of it) between the words "WARNER PREMIERE" with lines above and below it, with the Time Warner byline underneath the logo.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Only seen on The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning, as a placeholder for the next logo.

2nd Logo (September 18, 2007-August 20, 2013)

Visuals: On a black background, a blue outline of the letters "WP" zooms out in each other and flashes purely 3D blue. The words "WARNER PREMIERE" fade in between the "WP", followed by the Time Warner byline fading in below. This logo is very similar to the previous one but has more of a relief look.

Variant: A short version exists.

Technique: CGI by Ignite Creative.

Audio: A dreamy synth tune composed by David F. Van Slyke. Otherwise, it's the opening theme of the movie or silence.

Availability: Seen on movies like Superman: Doomsday (which was the first movie to use this logo), Another Cinderella Story, Batman: Gotham Knight, Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd in Out of Control, A Dennis the Menace Christmas, Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins (DVD and Blu-ray prints only), Mr. Troop Mom and Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster, among others.
