Background
Tower Television, sometimes known as Tower TV, Radio Tower TV, Tower Radio TV or Tower Radio and TV, was a planned pirate television channel to be broadcast from Sunk Head Fort, an offshore fort built during the second world war. The fort was fitted with equipment for radio and television transmissions, and allegedly broadcast a couple test transmissions. Content for the channel was allegedly produced, but never aired due to the fort being abandoned, and in 1967, Sunk Head Fort was completely demolished by the British Navy, who claimed it was unsafe due to a vessel crashing into its base 9 years prior.
