Background

TV21 was a television production company that was formed in 1991 by Graham Smith to produce TV shows. It was sold to Mentorn in 1996 and was folded by 2002.

1st Logo (1992-1997)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a light blue circle with the orange text "TV21" inside and a outline. Behind it was an atom with two colored rocket ships flying through the screen. The word "A TV 21 PRODUCTION" fades in below, with network info fading in below.

Technique: The flying of the rocket ships. [possible misuse]

Audio: A sound of a rocket passing by.

Availability: V21's programmes would no longer be seen outside of their original broadcasts. Seen on Viva Cabaret and Raw Soup.

2nd Logo (1997-2002)

Visuals: Same as the Mentorn Barraclough Carey logo, but as the logo ripples, the ball changes into a orange slanted circle with circular outlines, and we see the same slanted TV21 circle from the last logo, except the ball is darker and neater.

Bylines:

  • 1997-2001: "Mentorn Group company"
  • 2001-2002: "A Television Corporation Company"

Variants:

  • In later years, the logo is on a black background.
  • On Robot Wars, this logo shares the screen with the 1997 BBC logo.

Technique: Same as the Mentorn Barraclough Carey logo.

Audio: None or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Robot Wars series 1-4, Exploitica Rides Again and X-fire.
