Background

Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) (Korean: 에스비에스; RR: EseuBiEseu) is one of the leading South Korean television and radio broadcasters. The broadcaster legally became known as SBS in March 2000, changing its corporate name from Seoul Broadcasting System (서울방송). Its flagship terrestrial television station SBS TV broadcasts as channel 6 for digital and cable.

Established on 14 November 1990, SBS is the largest private broadcaster in South Korea, and is owned by the Taeyoung Construction. It operates its flagship television channel which has a nationwide network of 10 regional stations, and three radio networks. SBS has provided digital terrestrial television service in the ATSC format since 2001, and T-DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service since 2005.

1st Logo (1994-2000)

Visuals: There are the letter "SBS" in a bold, light blue font, usually in-credit.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: South Korean TV shows usually end with no logos, which is the case for the channel's dramas and sitcoms. However, a few live TV shows such as Live TV songs 20 feature this logo at the end.

2nd Logo (2000-)

Visuals: There's a sun in light blue and yellow colors drawing on a paintbrush with the letters "SBS" in a curve font, Sometimes, there's no sun appears in the logo, usually in-credit.

Variant: On Fantastic Duo Indonesia, the logo appears on the white background.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the show or none.

Availability: Like before, the easiest way to find this logo is on music programs like Inkiyago and SBS Gayo Daejeon. The white background variant can be seen on Fantastic Duo Indonesia, the Indonesian version of the music-reality show Fantastic Duo.
