Background

Philips Sidewalk Studio was a division of Philips Media that produced educational games for the Philips CD-I. The company didn't last long, as it got negative ratings for the games that it produced, and it was ultimately shut down.

Logo (1990s)

Visuals: On a two-column sidewalk, the Philips logo in blue is seen above "SIDEWALK". Each letter in "SIDEWALK" is askew and in different colors, resembling sidewalk chalk. "S T U D I O" in purple is below on the base.

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: It was used on a majority of children's games for the Phillips CD-I, one example being The Wacky World of Miniature Golf.
