Background
Orion Televisie was a pirate television channel in Alkmaar, the Netherlands. Part of a network of pirate channels that broadcast pornographic films in the area, Orion Televisie made a lot of use of Commodore computer graphics in it's broadcasts, rather than having a "host", a screen of the CBM BASIC from the Commodore VIC-20 or Commodore BASIC from the Commodore 64 would appear and messages would be manually typed, with lots of spelling errors needed to be corrected. The user often accidentally clears the screen or enters the text, resulting in a Syntax error message. This was a very ineffective method of sharing on-screen text, but was used by many Dutch pirate channels (as well as computers such as the Sinclair ZX80, ZX81 and ZX Spectrum) due to the low-cost.
