Background

Disney Digital Network was an American multi-channel network located in Culver City, California. It is the successor to Maker Studios, co-founded by Lisa Donovan, Danny Zappin, Scott Katz, Kassem Gharaibeh, Shay Carl, Rawn Erickson II, Ben Donovan, and Philip DeFranco in 2009. Maker Studios was acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2014 for $500 million, and was absorbed into the newly formed Disney Digital Network in 2017. Outside of the US, Maker has significant audiences in the UK, Brazil and Australia, and aims to expand its Asian operations, where it currently has 700 million monthly unique views. Run by René Rechtman (now runs Moonbug Entertainment), President for International, Maker is building a headquarters in London for its commercial, production and marketing activities outside the US. An Asian hub has been established in Singapore, offering limited commercial and marketing support until the business is larger. Following the Disney acquisition, the company suffered multiple rounds of layoffs, executive shuffling, and partner cut-offs. On April 30, 2019, the division has been completely disabled and it was transferred to Disney Advertising Sales (now merged into Disney Advertising Sales).

Logo (2009-2017)

Visuals: On a white background, the Maker logo, which consists of three sideways rectangles with "MAKER" below it, quickly zooms out.

Audio: A whoosh.

Availability: Last seen on The Pixelarity airing on Disney XD. It was also seen on the Singaporean Toggle Originals series, LifeSpam.

Logo (2017-2019)

Visuals: On a purple background with sketches of many Disney-related stuff, including the iconic castle, the Disney Digital Network logo forms, which is a circle with a sketch of the "D" from the Disney logo inside, and "DISNEY DIGITAL NETWORK" written on half of the circle. The logo then zooms out and scales away to make way for "PRESENTS", which snaps in.

Variant: On Legend of The Three Caballeros, the logo is still and superimposed onto the last shot of the credits, has "DISNEY DIGITAL NETWORK" stacked in three rows next to it, and shares the screen with the 6 Point Harness, Mercury Filmworks, and Atomic Cartoons logos.

Technique: The "D" sketching in and the rest of the logo turning in, and "PRESENTS" forming. For the in-credit variant, none. [possible misuse]

Audio: Often the closing theme of the show or silence.
