Background

This was the host broadcaster for the Olympic Games Munich 1972 which was set up by the Organizing Committee for the Munich Olympic Games (MUNOOC) and ARD & ZDF. ARD & ZDF would become host broadcasters for the FIFA World Cup two years later which was held in West Germany and that venture would be used again for said tournament.

1st Logo (August 26-September 11, 1972)


Visuals: There is the Munich Olympic Stadium and the Olympiaturm in a colorful background with a few buildings, reminiscent of the Games' primary theme at that time. On the top corner, there is the DOZ logo on the left and the Munich 1972 logo (without the year) on the right.

2nd Logo (June 13-July 17, 1974)


Visuals: On a cyan background, there is the WM 74 logo with the DOZ logo on the right and a notice titled: Produktion DOZ (a DOZ production) on the bottom
