Background

Trylon Video was an American home entertainment distributor. It was founded sometime after Vista Home Video, the previous Nicholas P. Santrizos-owned home video company, shut down, and went out of business somewhere around 1990.

Logo (August 17, 1989-1990)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a blue rectangle. Inside the blue rectangle is a white segmented background. On that white background, there is a blue-and-white Trylon structure. The pointed top of the Trylon sticks out above the rest of the rectangle. Below this, there are the words:

TRYLON
V I D E O

After a few seconds, the logo fades to black.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic with fading transitions.

Audio: Either silent or the opening to whatever release this may have appeared on.

Availability: Seen on releases by the company. Its first appearance was on The Beer Drinker's Guide to Fitness and Filmmaking. It also appeared on a few Orion Pictures films licensed to the company, including a double feature of Pajama Party and Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine. Additional releases to feature this logo were Easy Kill, Celia: Child of Terror, Casablanca Express, and The Navigator: A Medieval Odyssey, among other titles.
