Background

Tencent Games is the main videogame publishing and developing subsidiary of Tencent, itself under the Tencent Interactive Entertainment division.

1st Logo (2010s)

Visuals: Over a white background, multiple yellow/blue/green triangles drop down with the text "Tencent" and "Games" in two lines next to it, "Tencent" in trademark blue and "Games" in gray. As the triangles fall onto place the logo is revealed, consisting of two interlocked T's in yellow/blue with the yellow one extended into a video game controller cursor in green. The logo slightly zooms in. The slogan "Free to play together" (in the English variant) wipes in below the name. "Tencent" shines briefly, as the triangles bounce up into the cursor of the logo. The upper and middle buttons of the cursor then press down, before a shine passes in the logo.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • There's a version without the Chinese text.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A brief synthesized intro, segued by a 7-note theme. None for the still variants.

Availability: Possibly seen on Chinese Android / iOS games. The still version can be seen on games for the Monon Color.

2nd Logo (2019-)

Visuals: Over a blue/black background, a yellow-ish spark animates near the left as the elements of the Chinese text "腾讯游戏" and the letters of the English "Tencent Games" appear moving in next to the spark. The spark then changes into a logo consisting of three interlocked rounded lines, with the front line in the shape of a "T", and a transparent light shown behind.

Variants:

  • The Unreal Engine byline is shown with the animated logo in some games.
  • A version where the TiMi Studio logo is shown next to the Tencent Games logo, both still, appears on Call of Duty Mobile.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A crystalized synth note. None for the still variants.

Availability: Unknown.
