Background

Take 2 Plus is a British home video company that publishes public domain prints of various cartoons.

Logo (1989)

Visuals: On a black background, a gray rhombus flips in, turning the other way as it reaches the top of the screen. Here, it reveals a scrolling view of a street, consisting of signs for Krypton the Kartoon Kings, Take 2 Plus, KF Studios, and Roddies Video. A gray truck drives into view, suddenly stopping in front of the four stores. When the truck door opens, a worker wearing a red cap and blue jeans briefly falls down and quicky gets back up, slowly walking towards the trunk to grab an unspecified item. He then walks towards the store containing the "RODDIES VIDEO" sign to grab another unknown item. Then, he quickly walks over the trunk to load it in and heads back to the driver's seat in the same, slow speed as before. The truck dashes along and the background flips in with the same rhombus shape as earlier.

After the screen briefly flashes gold, it cuts to a space background where a squished logo scrolls down and stretches. This reveals a transparent clapperboard with a dashed "2" inside and the stylized words "TAKE" and "PLUS" to the left and right of the "2" respectively while also between two blue bars. "ABERDEEN" scrolls on the bottom and stops in underneath the logo. A few seconds later, the logo flips around several times before scrolling down and "ABERDEEN" scrolls to the right. After both objects left the screen, the latter flickers gold and cuts to black.

Technique: Primitive 2D computer animation.

Audio: After a few seconds of silence, a classical orchestral piece (Die Fledermaus, Op. 362 Overture) plays, whose tempo speeds up in the middle of the logo.
