Background

Pikachu Inc. was a ROM hacking group of Chinese origin which distributed a bootleg translated version of Pokémon Gold. Its ties with developer companies are unknown.

Logo (2000)

Visuals: Essentially a modified version of the 3rd Game Freak logo; most of the colors have been inverted, the logo sprite of Game Freak has been replaced with a sprite of Pikachu, and the text is replaced with "PIKACHU" and "PRESENTS" in blue sans typeface.

Technique: Sprite-based animation.

Audio: A high-pitched twinkling sound based on the 3rd Game Freak logo.

Availability: The logo only appears on the bootleg game Pokémon Gold Pocket Masters for GBC.
