Background

Nick Jr. On Demand is Nick Jr.'s video-on-demand service, which is available on most subscription providers.

1st Logo (2004-2006)

Visuals: We see Piper O'Possum and the Blue's Room version of Blue in pink clouds on a light blue and green gradient background. We pan across to see Boots and Dora from Dora the Explorer, Blue from Blue's Clues, Stephanie from LazyTown, Holley from Miss Spider, Little Bill, Tyrone from The Backyardigans and Sportacus from LazyTown, before we see a circle with orange and blue caterpillars that read "Nick Jr." on it.

Variant: There exists a sponsorship bumper using this animation. This time, the logo takes place on a pink/yellow gradient background. The caterpillar logo from before flips in, with a blue rounded rectangle below. "On Demand" flips in inside the rectangle. The logo then turns over to reveal the sponsor.

Technique: 2D computer animation, mixed with CGI and live-action, produced by Primal Screen in Atlanta, Georgia.

Audio: A cheerful tune with a girl (in Auto-Tune) singing "We love to play, we love to play, your wish is our command. Watch it when you want to, Nick Jr. On Demand." It's also in the same tune as the 2003 Nick Jr. theme entitled "Nick Jr. is Where I Play Along".

2nd Logo (2006-2009)

Visuals: We start with a light blue background with Dora from Dora the Explorer waving at us and Diego from Go, Diego, Go. A magenta-yellow-white rainbow then rises up as we see Wubbzy from Wow! Wow! Wubbzy and the main characters of The Wonder Pets standing on a cloud and the rainbow moves to the left. We see three Backyardigans as the rainbow makes a loop. After passing them, the rainbow moves up as we see the rest of the Backyardigans, the two main characters from LazyTown, and Blue from Blue's Clues. The rainbow then moves to the back, turning it 3D as we see two raccoons (one orange and one blue) and the background turns white, removing the rainbow. The texts "NICK" and "JR" fades in as blue rays can be seen.

Technique: 2D computer animation, mixed with CGI and live-action, done by The Ebeling Group.

Audio: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Much like the 1979 T.A.T. Communications Company logo, only a partial recording of this logo (the last five seconds) has resurfaced online. A full version of the logo does exist; however, it is taken from a poor-quality home recording, and is partially obscured.

3rd Logo (2009-2012)

Visuals: Similar to the 2009 Moose A. Moose Nick Jr. intro. We first see a flower with a face on it, and then a snail walking.

Technique: 2D animation, done by Trollback+Company.

Audio: Moose A. Moose (voiced by Paul Christie) singing about Nick Jr. on Demand, which isn't the same as the previous logos but is in the same tune as the 2009 Nick Jr. intro.

Availability: It reappears before and after Amazon Prime prints of the Little Bear episode “Family Portrait/Little Bear's New Friend/The Visit”.

4th Logo (2012-2018)

Visuals: On a white background with CGI clouds, we see two hills, Team Umizoomi flying on a helicopter, and Dora kicking a purple-white striped ball. Dora says "Here we go" as we see a yellow ball rolling down the second hill. We cut to a view of the ground with the previously-mentioned balls (and a purple one) rolling on the ground. We see Team Umizoomi in the helicopter again as they cheer. We cut to see an orange line and the balls go to the screen. The purple ball turns into a rectangle, the yellow ball turns into a square (which displays a clip from Bubble Guppies), and the striped ball turns into a cone. The camera zooms out to reveal that the line is actuially the 2009 Nick Jr. logo in 3D. The black text "on demand" then pops up word-by-word. The bottom text fades out so "THE SMART PLACE TO PLAY" fades in.

Variant: A break bumper exist, which consists of a CGI background with a white oval containing the Nick Jr. logo on it.

Technique: A mix of 2D and 3D animation, done by Gretel.

Audio: A tune based on the 2012 theme, the characters' sayings, and a woman saying "You're watching Nick Jr. on Demand. Nick Jr., the smart place to play". This is the first Nick Jr. On Demand intro where they don't sing about the service.

5th Logo (2018-2023)

Visuals: On a yellow background, we see a orange play button. Then, the hand reaches to press the button, causing the Nick Jr. logo to form, including the background (which consist on clouds, trees, mountains, and the ground.) A white "ON DEMAND" text flies towards the logo.

Technique: A mix of 3D animation and live-action, done by Blur.[1]

Audio: A funky upbeat remix (which sounds similar to the Nickelodeon Mnemonic), followed by a woman voiceover saying "You're watching Nick Jr.!", this is composed by Mekanical.[1]

6th Logo (2023-)

Visuals: On a playhouse background we se a splat background with the word Nick Jr. In white and blue text (a blue staircase, orange balls, purple triangle and yellow dots).

Technique: Simple CGI and splat effects, done by Albiniak.

Audio: a funky beat tune and a splat sound effects and a man voiceover will say "You’re Watching, Nick Jr.!", this is composed by SQVARE.[2].

Availability: Current.
