Background

NBCUniversal (formerly NBC Universal) was first formed on May 11, 2004 by the merger of the General Electric Company's NBC and the entertainment division of Vivendi Universal Entertainment. Vivendi owned the remaining 20% of NBCUniversal until January 26, 2011, when it sold its stake back to GE. Two days later, cable provider Comcast acquired a 51% controlling interest in NBCUniversal, before buying it outright for $16.7 billion in March 2013. In August 22, 2016, it acquired the animation studio DreamWorks Animation.

1st Logo (November 28, 2007-November 2, 2010)

Visuals: On a white background, the text "NBC UNIVERSAL", sandwiched between both halves of Universal's circular globe motif with the six-feathered peacock between "NBC" and "UNIVERSAL", in Copperplate Gothic Bold, is seen with copyright info.

Variant: On Minute to Win It, the color is gray with the separation line below and "TELEVISION CONSUMER PRODUCTS" below it is used.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Minute to Win It for NDS and The Office for PC, respectively.

2nd Logo (2010)

Visuals: Same as the previous logo, instead the words "nbcYOUniversal" is used in place of the words "NBC UNIVERSAL", the 2 peacocks replaces the globe and the single peacock. Below it is the words "your internship", and "your future" is also replaces the copyright info.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The ending of the sizzle reel.

Availability: Only seen on a sizzle reel.

3rd Logo (2012)

Visuals: The current NBCUniversal logo (in NBCU's corporate typeface, Rock Serif) is seen in-credit.

Trivia: Along with NBCUniversal Television Distribution, the new logo debuted on January 27, 2011 and was created at Wolff Olins.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on True Love.

4th Logo (2017)

Visuals: On a black background, a light comes emerging the logo. The logo continues for about two minutes.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: It was created specifically for CES (The International Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas 2017.
