Background

Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) (Korean: 한국방송공사; Hanja: 韓國放送公社; RR: Han-guk Bangsong Gongsa; MR: Han'guk Pangsong Kongsa) is the national broadcaster of South Korea. Founded in 1927, it is one of the leading South Korean television and radio broadcasters.

KBS operates seven radio networks, ten television channels, and dozen online services. Its flagship terrestrial television stations KBS1 broadcasts as channel 9, while KBS1 sister channel KBS2, an entertainment oriented network, broadcasts as channel 7. KBS also operates the KBS World international broadcasting service, which provides comprehensive TV, radio, and online services among twelve different languages.

Visuals: During the credits, there is the word "KBS" in dark blue, with a light blue gyroscope to the right of it.

Variants:

  • On Korea: The Never Ending War, the logo appears on a white background with the text "Korean Broadcasting System" on the right.
  • Sometimes, there is just the wordmark.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the show or none.

Availability: Seen at the end of the programs, dramas or TV movies. Also seen on the movies produced by the KBS itself. The white background variant can be seen on Korea: The Never Ending War.
