Background

Jim Henson Play-Along Video was formed as a joint venture between Jim Henson Productions and Lorimar Home Video to distribute pre-school video starring The Muppets. This effectively marked the third in a line of kids labels operated by Lorimar, following Scholastic-Lorimar Home Video and Kideo Video.

(1988)

Logo: On a white marble background, we see the text "Jim Henson" in the familiar Jim Henson font, writing in the center. When it finishes, a blurry rainbow-colored ribbon wipes in, and then it flashes to reveal a banner with the text "PLAY-ALONG VIDEO", which was curved over the banner.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Music/Sounds: A harp theme, with some techno-like beats at the end.

Availability: Seen on Jim Henson-related videos that were released by Lorimar Home Video, starring The Muppets.
