Background

HAP Film NV was an early Dutch film production company founded in 1914.

Logo (April 1, 1914-September 3, 1920)

Opening Visuals: Inside a patterned frame with a bump on the top, the giant words "HAP FILM" in a stacked format and in grey are behind the title of the movie.

Closing Visuals: Same as the opening logo except the text is simply replaced with "EINDE.".

Variant: On the Dutch release of Les salamandres, bottom text was added, reading:

ALLEENVERTOONINGSRECHT DER
H.A.P. FILM COMP. DEN HAAG

Technique: A still printed image.

Audio: None.

Availability: It was seen on observational films such as the Dutch release of Les salamandres, as well as Portugal, Maastricht and Langs Gouwe en Oude Rijn, both of which are preserved by the Eye Filmmuseum.
