Galaxy Cinemas
Background
Galaxy Cinemas was founded on October 4, 1999 by Ellis Jacob and Stephen Brown, as a middle-sized theatre chain in smaller areas. In November 2003, they merged with the Canadian division of Loews Cineplex Entertainment to form Cineplex Galaxy. They would then acquire Famous Players on June 13, 2005, and rename itself as Cineplex Entertainment.

Logo: In space, we see many blue stars zooming back, as the word "GALAXY" emerges. The stars flip up to reveal a spiral galaxy as it moves to the bottom-right of the text. A silhouette of a planet rises behind the logo, and a large flash causes the galaxy to turn flat and into a yellow colour, and the planet turns light blue. The "GALAXY" text flashes, and the logo darkens to reveal the words "FEATURE PRESENTATION" with blurred white trails above and below it. The text fades to gray as the logo fades out.
Variant: For coming attractions, a rectangle full of stars fades in over the logo, and there is text saying "COMING ATTRACTIONS".

Availability: Extremely rare. It was mostly seen in theatres, but is preserved on some of Galaxy's promo tapes.
