When I was at my grandparents place yesterday afternoon, I watched the DVD opening to Disney/Pixar's Luca.

I was shocked that Disney's Fast Play was included. I am supposed to get this movie for Christmas. Has the Disney's Fast Play retired yet, or is it up for more animated movies through the end of DVDs?

If the page here is true, it's been discontinued as of August, with Soul and the aforementioned Luca being its last appearances.

Honestly, if the stuff about it being discontinued is true, I'm glad it's been retired. Kinda misleading to title it "FastPlay" when you have to sit through a bunch of trailers, previews and other stuff before you can actually watch the film. :/

Very well, and I did get it for Christmas! I just bypassed FastPlay altogether!

Though it officially retired in August 2021, it made a surprise appearance on the DVD release of Encanto on February 8, 2022.
