About two weeks ago, I discovered an odd THX variant where the border is green instead of the usual blue:

At first, it looks like a significant find that I was going to nominate as featured media. That is until the source of this logo gives me doubt regarding the logo's legitimacy and whether or not this is unofficial. This logo was seen near the beginning of The 1999 Salem High School Video Yearbook, which does not sound like a THX-approved title, yet it was produced by a real channel back in the 90's. Furthermore, a little later in the video, there is a message shown that points to the "variant" being an unofficial edit:

The Following Yearbook Contains 147 Continuity Errors
Spot Them All and Win The Car!!!

At this point, I am not sure what to consider this logo. The logo doesn't look clearly edited, but the source makes this "variant"'s prescense on the wiki odd considering this is handled by a real production company. If you're curious on where did I find this "variant": this is the link.

What do you think?

being an unofficial edit
what if it was a pirated channel in disguise? probably this variant must be the same thing from a spanish home video company called Lorimar Home Video (not the american one but uses the same logo)

If this were a pirated channel, then this logo's existence would be more bizarre since the editing on that "variant" looks like it's made by THX, yet insane if the information about the channel's branding mostly stealing from a major audio system is revealed.

However, there is no proof to claim this is a bootleg company since it comes from a legitimate channel with no history of using other companies' logos (with the exception of this one, of course, which is likely done for the "contest" established in the video).

It's probably made by the staff or students of the school, so it might be fake.

They probably were just using it for fun, and changed the color to match the school's colors. This is obviously not an official variant in any way.

WAIT at the end of the THX logo it cuts to a 3D template. this proves that this variant is not official

There’s also the TCF modified screen and an MGM parody.
