Background: Chilevision is a free-to-air Chilean channel. Originally started broadcasting in 1960 as "Canal 9" (also known as Corporación de Televisión de la Universidad de Chile), as a project made by Universidad de Chile. Eventually, in 1980, the channel would rebrand as "Teleonce" in order to expand the channel, though would renamed in 1983 as "Universidad de Chile Televisión". In 1991, the channel is rebranded (again), now as "RTU" (Red de Televisión Universidad de Chile). Finally, a last change is made in channel and is renamed to his actual name, after being purchase by Grupo Cisneros (owners of Venevision). By 2000, the channel is owned by Claxson Multimedia Group, which would sell it to Sebastian Piñera in 2005. Finally, in 2010 and after a long process, Piñera sell the channel to Turner Broadcasting Company.
