Background

Defstar Records, Inc., stylized as DefSTAR Records, was a Japanese record label, a subsidiary of Sony Music Japan. They were founded in 1997 as T Project before changing to the DefSTAR name in 2000. Since 2015, the subsidiary has been shut down.

1st Logo (2000s-2009)

Logo: Same as the Sony Music tag, however the SonyMusic text is replaced with the DefSTAR logo, a indigo star outline separated by a "D" with the text DefSTAR" below.

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: Same as the Sony Music tag.

Availability: Seen on commercials by DefSTAR artists.
