Background

Another offshoot of Wizard Video started by Charles Band in the early 1980s, intended to release more "harder" and sleazier B-movie fare than the usual Wizard Video (and even Force Video) output. The original incarnation closed in 1987 along with Wizard itself, but was later revived in the mid-1990s by Band for re-issuing his 70s produced films and other cult titles, most of which had previously been released through Urban Classics, among others.

(1996-2004)

Logo: On a red background, we see the yellow text "CULT VIDEO" fade in and out.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Music/Sounds: None or background noise/music. Occasionally, the main title from Full Moon's Bad Channels, composed by Blue Oyster Cult, may be heard.

Availability: Seen on Cult Video releases from the mid-1990s up until the early-to-mid 2000s, including Beach Babes 2: Cave Girl Island (where it plasters the Torchlight logo and in-credit mention).
