Background

Citra Sinema is an Indonesian film and television production company that was founded on March 5, 1997 by actor Deddy Mizar. Inspired by a verse in the Qu'ran, "I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me", Mizar and his wife created various soap operas and feature films as a form of worship to Allah.

1st Logo (December 9, 1999-2003)

Visuals: On a cloudy background, there are the letters "D" and "G" fly sweeping from the left and right respectively with the latter overlapping the former. A purple, wavy filmstrip would be drawn over the "G" before "CITRA SINEMA" come flying from the bottom.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Multiple gong hits before a soft synth note plays.

Availability: Although it has fallen to plastering by the 4th logo, it was spotted on SCTV airings of Lorong Waktu episodes from this era.

2nd Logo (October 21, 2003-2008)

Visuals: On a white background, the screen gains focus as it reveals hundreds of lines scattered floating around. As we rotate around the view, a green, transparent line emerges from the bottom right before covering the whole screen and wrapping around the set of lines. The path creates a curved disk while the group of black dashes merge together to create a slightly narrow black line. The recently formed shapes rotate to give room for the company's name in red.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An ascending synth note that ends with three hits. Whooshes can be heard throughout the logo.

Availability: Can be seen on episodes of Lorong Waktu from this period.

3rd Logo (2008-2012)

Visuals: On a dark background, there are multiple flat, dark blue rectangles flying from the bottom and passing by the screen. As more of these shapes are seen, they later form a yellow, three-sided object. While this shape is spinning a little, a green "C" is wrapped around it before "itra" and "SINEMA slide in from the right by one letter. While all of this animation is happening, the background can be seen briefly lighting up.

Technique: 3D animation.

Audio: A theme with cultural instruments and a piano.

Availability: This is seen on shows from this period.

4th Logo (2012-)

Visuals: First, a static background transform into five holes within a filmstrip that gradually zooms out until bursting. This causes the background to reveal multiple transparent, green squares floating around while the company's logo, "citrasinema" with the "i" in "sinema" being the five filmstrip holes from before, zooms closely towards the camera while shining multiple times.

Variants: Starting in 2019, "citra" is above "sinema" with the lens flare moving around before settling into the filmstrip shape, causing it to shine.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The sounds of a projector when the filmstrip appears. A whoosh and then a bang is heard that leads into a soft ambience background noise with some strings.

Audio Variant: An extended version exists where there are more string notes at the end of the logo.

Availability: Unknown.
