CSG Imagesoft

Background

CSG Imagesoft was an American game publisher that was originally owned by CBS/Sony Group, a Japanese firm to release titles for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and later the Game Boy. Only three titles were released under the name. Two of the titles, Solstice and Dragon's Lair would be released by Epic/Sony Records. In April 1991, it became Sony Imagesoft.

1st Logo (June 1989)

Logo: On a black background, we see the text "CSG IMAGESOFT, INC." in a Futura font.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: This was a placeholder logo. Only seen on the NES game of Super Dodge Ball, when completing a game.

2nd Logo (June 1990-January 1991)

Logo: On a black background, we see several lines inside. Inside it was the text "CSG IMAGES•FT INC". Below it was the text "PRESENTS", which fades in below.

Variant: On the NES and Game Boy games of Dragon's Lair, the logo is black and white and it is within the title screen. Then, on the copyright screen, the logo appears, except, it was shortened to "IMAGESOFT".
