CBS Family Presentation

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

(1972-1974)

Nickname: "Morphing House"

Logo: On a black background we see the text "A CBS FAMILY PRESENTATION" in white Futura Thin font. Then, the letters "T," "A," and the second "T" in "PRESENTATION" morph into the shape of a house and a family suddenly pops in (a pink woman on the left, a light blue man on the right - that look like what you see on bathroom door signs - and a red boy child in the center, with the woman and man holding the child's hands).

FX/SFX: The morphing and the family appearing.

Music/Sounds: A jazzy seven-note trumpet and tenor saxophone duet, ending with a quick five-note xylophone stinger.

Availability: Extremely rare. It's long-gone from television, but it can be seen on the Family Home Entertainment VHS of Ruby-Spears' Beauty and the Beast. This logo can also be seen on YouTube.

Editor's Note: Like the CBS Special Presentation logo from the '70s, it has really cheap effects. The music is also pretty strange.
