AVID:Requests for Comment/Newly registered users can only create pages in the draft space
This is something I've planned since last year. The premise is: Newly registered users would only be able to create pages in the draft space, and once they become autoconfirmed (after X number of days and X number of edits) then can they create pages in mainspace. I've already enabled the extensions for this, though I have not activated them just yet. I want to hear your opinion on this. Should newly registered users only be able to create draft pages? Oppose Now that's kinda unfair. What if someone actually knew a logo, made an account to put it on, and accidentally hit the submit button just to get reported and banned? Also, if we did this, we would have to introduce a ton of new policies. Like, how old your account has to be to make a page for mainspace. And not all newbies know what the draft template is or how to let people know that what they made is a draft. CharlieFiddlesticks (talk) 15:36, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
