AVID:Requests for Comment/Newly registered users can only create pages in the draft space

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

This is something I've planned since last year. The premise is: Newly registered users would only be able to create pages in the draft space, and once they become autoconfirmed (after X number of days and X number of edits) then can they create pages in mainspace. I've already enabled the extensions for this, though I have not activated them just yet. I want to hear your opinion on this. Should newly registered users only be able to create draft pages? Abstain

Oppose

Oppose Now that's kinda unfair. What if someone actually knew a logo, made an account to put it on, and accidentally hit the submit button just to get reported and banned? Also, if we did this, we would have to introduce a ton of new policies. Like, how old your account has to be to make a page for mainspace. And not all newbies know what the draft template is or how to let people know that what they made is a draft. CharlieFiddlesticks (talk) 15:36, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
