Introduce news intros
Following a discussion on the discord server, I propose the addition of news intros in our database for several reasons:
- They are audiovisual identity;
- They are different from TV show intros (news broadcasting is considered separate from television series/shows);
- They are much closer to logos/bumpers/IDs than you think, and if a station/network rebrands, they will change their production logos, IDs, bumpers and news intros;
- We have newsreel intros on this site, but not TV news intros.

Abstain
Abstain I'm not sure if I support it or not, because I'm worried that the news intros in some countries eg. Thailand or Cambodia might be complicated, such as news footage that appear etc. Will I need to go into DEPTH detail? And in one station there are many news programs, if there are many intros may need to create more pages. JackAMLA (talk) 17:38, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- You could just put "various news footage (this, that, etc.)" instead of getting into full detail. And we could likely create separate pages if news stations have more than one news program (though if said intros are variants, perhaps put them under the normal logo). · Talk · Edits 18:02, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
